Posted March 15, You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item OK Furthermore I get the same error with the following filenames I let the installation complete and found I had no rights to access or change anything, I mean nothing, no access to the right mouse click on desktop, add remove programs, nothing in the control panel or anything Now I have seen similar problems with windows, but not with Nlite or Ryan VM integrator, I have used them both and getting the same results, for the update pack v2.
I used the integrator for WMP v. I also included IE7v2. Someone told me to integrate the files WMP 11 3, Other addons 4. IE7 or IE8 5. Nlite addons or customization 6. XPIZE 7. Microsoft Windows NT 5.
Thanks for the help.
 More sharing options Posted March 16, It is something integrated that causes the issue. PoitNarf Posted April 4, Posted April 4, I get the same error message: Rundll I ask this before and got a lot of replies but none worked. I first saw this on when installing Windows 10 Pro pc that I had run the Decrapifier cleanup script on. I thought maybe it was the problem, no one in the forum had seen the problem. Then I thought it was because I had renamed the Domain Administrator account, but later when installing Windows 10 in a domain that we had not renamed the domain admin account I get the same error when I log into the Win 10 PC as domain admin and try to add Desktop Icons.
That domain has 2 DC both R2. So today I am setting up a Standard, when local user I did not get the error, after I promote to a DC and login as the domain administrator, click on the DeskTop Icons link to pick what I want on the desktop, pop there it is. This domain we have renamed the administrator but I don't think that is the problem since I get it on the other domain that still had the original "administrator" name. The common factor in this now is Windows 10 and Server , which is like Win 10, on a domain.
If I want to change the Folder Options and go to start and type Folder, it brings up the Folder that you click on to open the Options, but I get the error. I have done the below to resolve that. You can also create a short-cut to the area you are blocked and it worked that way for me to. Do a search on the rundll For your question, please run gpedit. I would rather do it one time on the DC so I would not have to touch each pc, but can do each if that is the only way.
Teemo Tang - well, KB was re-installed on two of the workstations last evening! I will check the GPO to see about pausing updates. Your message of June 15th indicates this is a known problem with Microsoft. You would think they would stop sending this update until fixed! Speaking of which, is there a published timeframe for when it will be fixed?
Pausing for 7 days just kicks the can down the road if it's not fixed by then. Will Microsoft somehow notify or announce the fix when available or do we just have to keep testing and losing our printers every 7 days until fixed? Windows 7 had a way to "hide" unwanted updates. Apparently that feature is not included with Windows I've downloaded a tool: wushowhide.
